Coax Splicer
Pay: $55,000 – $90,000/year + (based on experience)
Join a growing team delivering critical
telecommunications infrastructure across
the Twin Cities. As a Coax Splicer, you’ll
play a key role in maintaining and
upgrading cable systems to ensure reliable
service for residential and commercial customers.
– Splice, repair, and replace coaxial cable and related equipment
– Perform plant activations, balancing, and system upgrades
– Read and interpret CATV maps to complete work accurately
– Test signal strength and performance using specialized equipment
– Troubleshoot and resolve network and connectivity issues
– Operate bucket trucks and work at heights as needed
– Support night cutovers and work in various weather conditions
– Maintain accurate documentation of work completed
– Ladders, hand tools, cable caddies, and power drills
– Test equipment including signal meters and voltage meters
– Bucket trucks and aerial lift equipment
– Minimum of 1 year experience in coax splicing
– Knowledge of coax cable types (P1, P3, QR, etc.)
– Ability to read system maps and understand plant design
– Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail
– Comfortable working outdoors and in varying conditions
– Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks
– Must be at least 18 years of age
– Year-round work with potential for early, late, and night shifts
– Outdoor work in all weather conditions
