Directional Drill Operator
Pay: $26.00 – $38.00/hour + (based on experience)

Drill Operator, you’ll lead drilling operations,
ensure job site safety, and play a key role in
delivering critical utility infrastructure projects.
– Operate directional drilling equipment safely and efficiently
– Perform daily maintenance and post-use servicing on drill and support equipment
– Conduct pre-job site inspections to verify utility locates and plan drilling operations
– Lead and support crew members, assigning tasks and ensuring work is completed correctly
– Assist with jobsite activities including potholing, conduit placement, cable pulling, and setting
structures
– Mix and manage drilling fluids (bore gel) as needed
– Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
– Provide guidance and training to crew members
– Work closely with drill locators and support cross-training across roles
– Take ownership of crew performance and job execution
– Prior experience operating directional drilling equipment
– Strong understanding of utility locating laws and safe excavation practices
– Ability to read and interpret job plans and locates
– Comfortable performing physical labor when needed
– Team-oriented mindset with leadership capability
– Must be at least 18 years of age
– Valid Class A CDL required
– Ability to operate a 33,000 GVW truck with drill trailer to and from job sites
